“Make It So”
February 20, 2009 No CommentsMy Musical Journey, The Personal Side"Avoiding the phrase, "I don’t have time…" will soon help you to to realize that you do have the time needed for just about anything you choose to accomplish in life."
Bo Bennett
I came across this quote just a short time ago. I am going to use it to drive me sanely through the weekend. Tasks are stacking up, and I am seeing my "Pam time" dwindle.
Among the things that I’m doing: Rehearsing with Bobby Moody and the band "Moment’s Notice. As I have said in the past, I am hoping that making music with these fine, fine musicians will be the beginning of something big!
The opportunities to join "real live" musicians I know will be few and far between for me. I have grown very accustomed to singing with backing tracks. It’s a totally different vibe and that means there’s a chance to stretch and grow musically. I’m all about that!
I am also on fire about the fight against breast cancer. I’m on a project related to work called "5 Fighters ". We’re a team of men/women touched by this disease, and we’re going to train and support each other for the upcoming Race for the Cure in Raleigh.
I will have ultimately have some help with this, but I have taken up my own video camera, and doing some shooting of my own. I like this. I want to do this, but it requires working on my own time.
It is my hope to video and interview a brother and sister who are on the team of 5 fighters .
Here’s the question: Will there be time to do the things that light me up, and still enjoy that coveted "Pam time"?
You bet there will!
