Follow your bliss and the universe will open doors for you where there were only walls.
— Joseph Campbell
This week I am hoping to participate in a groovy night of jazz in Raleigh.
Bobby Moody, the leader of the band, "Moment’s Notice" has invited me to sing at "An Evening of Jazz at St. Ambrose."
I really want to do this. It’s just been so long since I’ve had a chance to sing. I miss it… the pure joy of it!
So, if the stars align themselves just right on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 at 7:00pm, then I will be there.
Thursday is a work night, and those of you who have followed my blog know that getting outside the studio for a dinner break is never fully assured. I am no longer "scheduling" events for myself during the work week because I just can’t guarantee I’ll show up. When folks have planned a program around your participating and that plan falls apart at the last minute, it’s just not cool. That did happen last month, and I will not let it happen again.
Anyway, back to the good stuff. I hope to sing a song or two with the St. Ambrose Jazz Mass Quartet this week. Bobby has already told me that the band will definitely have this song ready: L.O.V.E. L is for the way you look at me. Oh Joy!
Listen, I might not be able to make it to St. Ambrose Episcopal Church. Please, please, please don’t let it stop you. Everyone is invited!
Here are the particulars: The church is located at 813 Darby Street in Raleigh. The price people, is FREE.
Just in case you have any further questions just call this number: 919.601.5401
Hope we all get to go!!
