I Feel Like A Diva

July 19, 2008 No Comments

Oh yeah, I said it.  I am feeling like a Diva today.

I am back at the Rat Pack tonight after being away for a few weeks.  Part of that time was spent in Africa with Ashley who is teaching english to school children, some of it was work related, and then I was sick one Saturday.

All behind me now, folks.  I feel super and ready to touch the stage.

The Diva-ness:  That came from my driving to the lounge in yoga wear, ready to set up my sound sytem.  It was completely unnecessary.   The guys at the restaurant had set it all up for me.  I walked in and was in shock.  My work was done for me.  All this woman had to do was hook up the I-pod for a soundcheck.  It was all good.

Now, if this could happen every Saturday night, and I only had to focus on my vocals,  I would be on cloud nine.   That would be great progress in my quest to become known as a genuine singer in my hometown.  This will become my new priority.

It’s 8:20pm, and I must finish getting gorgeous.  I think I have some friends showing up tonight for the show.

I won’t be a diva in at least one respect:  I won’t keep folks waiting.  I won’t be late.
